<br />Esta leyes son muy conocidas y son la base del balanceo de las sustancias que intervienen en una reacción, estas son:
<br />
<br /><ol><li>Ley de la conservación de la materia o Ley de Lavoisier.</li><li>Ley de la composición constante o Ley de Proust.</li><li>Ley de las proporciones multiples o Ley de Dalton</li></ol>Vamos a ver de que trata cada una de estas leyes.

<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">LA MATERIA NO SE CREA NI SE DESTRUYE, UNICAMENTE SE TRANSFORMA.</span>

<br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Esta ley al aplicarla a una reacción química significa que no hay pérdida ni aumento de masa, por que la masa total de los reactivos debe ser igual a la masa total de los productos en la reacción.
<br />Para que se cumpla esta ley en una reacción quimica, se necesita que exista el mismo número de átomos a cada lado de la ecuación química, veamos el siguiente ejemplo:
